Located between Pine Ridge Road and Vanderbilt Beach Extension, Vineyards boasts a whooping 1, 375 acres of glorious land. That is miles and miles of landscaping that everyone can enjoy. Not only that, within the property are 38 dazzling lakes and 14 neighborhoods with golf and water view homes.
It all began with the brothers Michael and Joe Procacci who purchased the land in the 1960s. They dreamt of building homes and that they did beginning in the year 1980. The Vineyards is comprised of single-family homes, villas and condominiums complete with the many amenities that every Florida family dream of.
The Vineyards can be considered as one of the premier addresses for country club living. Amenities include a country club, fitness center, community park, the Vineyards Elementary School and Crossroads Market Shopping Center are all linked by way of bike and walking paths making it very accessible to residents. The Cleveland Clinic is located on site as well.
The community center is a 32 acre park located across the residences. It is where residents can take pleasure in many fun activities such as racquetball, volleyball, basketball, softball and horseshoe pits. If you want to join in classes, you have a choice between aerobics, karate demonstrations, basketball camps and art classes. Tennis enthusiasts can make use of the 12-lighted Har-Tru courts in the property.
Residents also get to enjoy the award-winning 70,000 square-foot Vineyards Country Club and have access to two 18-holes PGA Championship golf courses. The club has formal dining, informal club lounge, a lobby bar and pool.
Vineyards does not have any Community Development Districts, which means that homeowners do not need to pay for infrastructure and development costs unlike many other large Southwest Florida communities.
At the west side of Vineyards is the Physicians Regional Hospital and it offers a 24-hour emergency and comprehensive medical care so you have access to health practitioners in case of an emergency at any time of the day or night.
