North of Davis Boulevard and east of Airport Pulling Road is a gated Golf and Country Club community called Foxfire. Foxfire sits on 320 acres of land in an area that was once known as King’s Lake North.

It was in August of 1983 that the development of this community started to take shape with the construction of the roadways, home sites and the golf course. Foxfire sold its first real estate in January of 1984 while is golf course became fully operational in January of the following year. 925 units were complete in 1987, two years ahead of schedule and sold quickly like hot pancakes at the time.

Initially, the community, with the help of designer Arthur Hills, created a 18-hole course. In 1995, Foxfire Golf and Country Club opened play for another 9 holes making its total to 27. The 27greens were then redesigned and built to USGA standards with all tees laser-leveled in 2003 still with the help of designer Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates. The following year, the 20-year old Clubhouse was demolished and rebuilt with a new plan. Now, the clubhouse is a 20,000-sqaure foot establishment complete with state-of-the-art facilities with a Mediterranean-style architecture and decorating style to keep the club atmosphere going.

The 27-hole par 72 golf course features tight fairways, abundant water hazards and Tif-Eagle greens. It does not discriminate from golfers of different skill levels. The course also includes a practice range and putting green where players can warm-up for a game or simply work on their techniques.

Aside from the golf course and the clubhouse, other amenities include three Har-Tru tennis courts, card and meeting rooms, fitness center, library, grill room an Olympic-sized swimming pool and fully stocked pro-shop..
